Manager: Carlo Ancelotti
---------------------Neuer Carvajal--Ramos--Thiago Silva--Marcelo -------Modric--Busquets--Iniesta ----Messi-------Suarez--------Ronaldo
^ That's the dream, no?
Actual West Ham 11 preference (slightly unrealistic) for next season:
Manager: ROBERTO MANCINI
-------------------Hart --Trippier--Reid--Ogbonna--Masuaku -------------Kouyate--Obiang --Antonio-------Lanzini-------Mertens -----------------Batshuayi
Subs: Adrian, Cresswell, Oxford, Noble, Traore, Musonda, Defoe
Potential signings:
GK: Hart, Pickford, Begovic RB: Trippier, Jenkinson, Tierney, Zabaleta CM/CAM: Siggurdsson LW/LM: Mertens, Musonda, Brandt RW/LW/LM/RM: Traore ST: Batshuayi, Defoe, Iheancho
Tripper - Maybe unrealistic as Spurs would not sell to us.
Jenkinson - Bare with me, he had a quality first season with us and I know he had that shocking start to his 2nd year with us and I was publicly slating him, however he is still young and I would be willing to give him another crack under a new manager to see how he does, he is 25 so could potentially be a shrewd signing, I do agree this one would be a risk though.
Batshuayi - Probably now extremely unlikely as would take around 35mil to land him I reckon, our owners simply will not pay what is required.
That is only 4 changes to our first 11, but instead of dross it is top quality, which would come at a cost, probably around 90mil for Hart (20mil), Trippier (15mil?), Mertens (20mil?) and Batshuayi (35mil).
With the new stadium (After the owners telling us it will make us compete), Payet money, money we get from selling the dross, still should get some figures back, higher ticket sales, merchandise etc., TV money windfall, finishing 11th (Sulli was bigging it up in his "budget" interview.
Spending 90mil should not be unrealistic in this day and age and that would be a potential top 7 side.
Aim to crack into that 7th place, all about baby steps growing long term.
